Beste Chris, je informatie over old NNG is altijd interessant en wordt graag gelezen.
Helaas zal de politieke toestand in Papua/Indonesia niet veel veranderen zolang de Indonesische regering handenvol met geld ontvangt van Freeport-McMoRan.
Sinds 1992 steunde deze mijn-gigant het Indonesische GDP met zo'n 60 billioen US dollars.

Misschien dat een email campagne naar de adressen: ir@fmi.com (David Joint, Investors Relations), mr@fmi.com (Linda Hayes, Media Relations) en communitydevelopment@fmi.com wat verandering kan brengen in de trieste gang van zaken rond de Grasberg mijn.

Your company has been active in destroying the Grasberg area in Western Papua, a province of Indonesia. You have been polluting the ocean waters, you have destroyed nature, you have no regards for the local population. And you have been doing that for about 40 years under the protection of the Indonesian government.
Is it not about time that you, as an US-company, will terminate your despicable activities for the sake of money. Do you have any care about people, the environment and human rights?
Will it take a push by investors to get you to change your ways?
